Intrepido has earned his place on the national stage with Grade I success, natural athleticism, and a determined competitive spirit. The son of Maximus Mischief first drew attention with an impressive maiden victory at Del Mar, earning Thoroughbred Daily News “Rising Star” recognition before capturing the 2025 Grade I American Pharoah Stakes and securing a coveted “Win and You’re In” berth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

At three, Intrepido added a runner-up finish in the Grade III Robert B. Lewis Stakes to his résumé before advancing to the 2026 Kentucky Derby. His preparation at Churchill Downs showcased his striking speed, with a :45 half-mile bullet workout drawing attention ahead of his appearance in racing’s most celebrated American classic.
